SNERC's comprehensive program of rehabilitation includes a "team!€ approach to recovery, where each rehabilitation professional builds off the treatments already delivered. The rehabilitative program for people with serious illness or injury offers more intense therapy for individuals who need a "bridge" before returning home. SNERC offers a variety of skilled care and services to ease the road to recovery, including:

Because issues associated with serious disabilities can be physical as well as emotional, SNERC sponsors support groups for patients who have had a brain injury, stroke or spinal cord injury as well as host a family education and orientation group. Stroke Support Group The Fatima All S.T.A.R.S. (Stroke, Together, Advocacy, Recovery, Support) invite you to join "HOPE after STROKE" meetings which take place in the rear of the 4 South dining room at Fatima Hospital. Spinal Cord Support Group Meetings take place in the outpatient therapy gym at Southern New England Rehabilitation Center’s Providence location at St. Joseph Health Center, 21 Peace Street. The gym is located on the third floor on the west wing.

    A 70 bed comprehensive inpatient/outpatient medical rehabilitation program, transitional care unit, neuro behavioral unit for stroke and brain injury patients, transitional living apartments, staff of specialized medical rehabilitation therapists and nursing professionals. Outpatient services available from both units. Stroke Specialty The Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation Program, a CARF recognized program, provides adults needing therapy to improve their function and quality of life. Our patients have been diagnosed with cerebral vascular accidents (CVA), intracranial hemorrhages, and thrombo/embolic strokes. Neurorehabilitation This program treats patients with diagnoses such as brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis. Our dedicated staff work with patients to regain the skills to walk, communicate and live more independently. Our therapists also treat patients with cognitive and/or behavioral disabilities. Orthopedic Our rehabilitation program treats patients after hip fractures, joint replacement, and multiple trauma. We strive to always improve our therapy, and our orthopedic program’s innovations have been published in major rehabilitation journals. Services include: case management dietitian internal medicine interpreter services neuropsychologist nursing occupational therapy pastoral care physical therapy rehabilitation medicine speech language pathology therapeutic recreation
