Westerly Hospital, a member of Yale New Haven Health, is a 60-bed hospital that has been providing residents of southern Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut with a full range of inpatient and outpatient services in a community hospital setting for more than 90 years. Westerly Hospital patients receive the finest quality treatment in the following areas of care: emergency, medical, surgical, radiology, laboratory and rehabilitative services. In addition, the hospital offers interventional pain management, wound care, an anti-coagulation clinic and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services. All inpatient rooms are private.

Volunteers are essential for creating Westerly Hospital!€™s helpful and welcoming atmosphere. And when you join our team, you have ample opportunity to make a real difference in people!€™s lives. Volunteers assist in many ways and places, including the Gift Shop, our Courier Service, at reception desks, providing transport services and even knitting comfort blankets for our patients.

In addition to your application, all volunteer candidates must interview with the Manager of Volunteer Services, have a criminal background check, be medically cleared by our Occupational Health Department and attend an orientation.
