The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research and advocacy. Professional Development sessions â offered throughout the year on a variety of fundraising topics geared toward both new and seasoned professionals. Networking Breakfasts â regularly scheduled networking breakfasts offer an opportunity to meet other professionals, share information and make valued connections; National Philanthropy Day â Every November, AFP-RI hosts Rhode Islandâs premier event celebrating philanthropy with nearly 500 people attending; Conference â The Chapter hosts a fundraising conference including educational tracks for all levels of experience, nationally recognized keynote speakers and great networking with other professionals. Members receive a significant discount; Government Relations â Members are kept informed of legislation affecting nonprofits. AFP-RIâs Government Relations Committee advocates for sound legislation that supports ethical fundraising and donorsâ rights; Awards â AFP-RI honors outstanding philanthropists at National Philanthropy Day and recognizes individuals celebrating milestone anniversaries as AFP members at our annual meeting.

Program Fees:
RI Chapter dues $50/year
Individual Memberships: Professional $250.00/ year; Young Professional $95/year; Retired $75/year; Associate Membership $250/year; Collegiate $35/year; Global e-membership $50/year.
Organizational Memberships: AFP Business Membership Executive Circle $5,000 plus Endorser $1,500; AFP Nonprofit Organizational Membership-Large starting at $2,200 for eight members; AFP Nonprofit Organizational Membership-Small $175/year.
