The program provides comprehensive, bilingual, bicultural, and trauma-informed direct services and education to Latino victims of domestic violence, particularly newly arrived immigrants with limited English proficiency.

            At Food Pantry, for People with Diabetes: Assessment for Diabetes at Wellness Clinic; Referral to in-house 4-6 week workshop on managing diabetes; Provides medical attention at Wellness Clinic; helps find resources/insurance/funding to cover medical supplies needed for diabetes. Nothing special for home-bound, although a proxy can pick up food.

                Description

                Registered Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site: Staff of Volunteer tax preparers are IRS trained, tested, and certified to help people who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit program receive the tax credits they deserve. THIS IS A FREE SERVICE. You must bring a copy of your previous year's return, all financial statements pertaining to tax year 2020, your social security card, and a picture ID.

                Eligibility

                Earned $57,000 or less in 2020 To qualify for Property Tax Relief Credit (please note it is total household size and total household income): An individual must be (all of the qualifiers below) - Elderly or disabled - Receive Social Security Benefits - Lived in RI all of 2020 - Lived in an apartment or home subject to property tax. The person can receive up to $365.

                                Registered Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site: Staff of Volunteer tax preparers are IRS trained, tested, and certified to help people who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit program receive the tax credits they deserve. THIS IS A FREE SERVICE. You must bring a copy of your previous year's return, all financial statements pertaining to tax year 2020, your social security card, and a picture ID.
