Description:
Day One is the only agency in Rhode Island that is specifically organized to deal with issues of sexual assault as a community concern. They provide treatment, intervention, education, advocacy, and prevention services to Rhode Islanders of all ages!from preschool children to elder adults. Additionally, we advocate for public policy initiatives and systemic changes that positively impact how Rhode Island families handle sexual abuse cases.
Services: Counseling fees are on a sliding scale and are covered by some insurance plans; fees for education and training programs. No fee for advocacy, crisis intervention or Children's Advocacy Center.

Under this model, the child comes to a child-friendly environment and meets with a trained interviewer while the other team members observe from another room via a video screen.
