Description:

Senior Health Insurance Program:(SHIP) answers questions and provides counseling to Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers about Medicare, Medicare Part D, Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, long-term care insurance and other health insurance concerns.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP):
Training and placement of senior citizens, 55+, in volunteer assignments which match their
interests and skills, who want to contribute their time and energy to impact and improve conditions in the community. RSVP is a network of community members volunteering in multiple programs and nonprofits in the East Bay,

Foster Grandparent Program (FGP): For seniors 60+ to help children develop the skills, confidence, and strength to succeed in life. FGP's assist in schools, Head Start sites and day care centers throughout the East Bay. Foster Grandparents work directly with children under 18 and serve as mentors, tutors and caregivers for at-risk children and youth with special needs through a variety of community partners, including: schools, libraries, faith-based organizations, and before and after school programs.

RSVP is a network of community members volunteering in multiple programs and nonprofits in the East Bay.

RSVP involves community members 55 years and older interested in socializing with others, working in the community, and learning new skills to provide quality services to our East Bay community. Volunteers provide various services through our partner programs. Volunteers tackle issues like food insecurity, isolation in the community, tax preparation, and health insurance counseling.
