An acute inflammatory skin disease that is marked by the appearance of flat, scaly-edged, round or oval, dark pink or copper-colored spots on the trunk and upper arms, usually in a "T-shirt" distribution. The rash is preceded approximately one week earlier by a single, larger round spot of the same type on the trunk. The condition is not contagious and mainly affects children and young adults.
