Description:
SSTAR is a long-term, residential substance abuse treatment program specifically designed for pregnant, postpartum and parenting women. It is a family reunification program and women participate in treatment with their young children. The program allows for 6 months to 9 Months of treatment and has the capacity for 12 women and 24 children.
Provides on site, or coordinates through its program, many of the comprehensive services that recovering women and their children require including:
- Substance abuse treatment
- Mental health services
- Seeking Safety-trauma curriculum
- Nurturing Families-parenting program
- Consultation with a child psychologist
- Vocational
- Early Intervention and an on-site licensed daycare education
- Life skills programming
- Primary health care
