A private, nonsectarian, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization that supports individuals in their recovery from mental illness and co-occurring disorders (i.e., substance use, developmental disability, related chronic health conditions). Provides access to supports and resources for individuals to lead self-determined, independent, and fulfilling lives as contributing members of the community. Assists people of all ages to improve their behavioral health, well-being, and quality of life. Licensed professionals conduct individual assessments and develop person-centered treatment plans. Individuals are seen by a psychiatrist or a psychiatric nurse practitioner for medication management, and individual and group therapy are available.
Community Mental Health Center: provides behavioral health services ranging from emergency services, general and intensive community-based outpatient treatment, substance use treatment, and other services. They may offer vocational and supported employment services, navigators who can help you get health insurance, tax preparation assistance, and housing supports. If receiving services as a child, assistance with transition to adult services or programs are provided within or outside the agency.
The Community Mental Health Centers are regionally based as indicated below. However, as a Rhode Island resident, you may access services at any CMHC.
Anyone experiencing a crisis can walk into a Community Mental Health Center during their normal business hours and they will provide treatment. For after-hours emergency treatment, call the Center!s emergency number or call 911.
Flex buses are available by appointment. Call RIPTA 24hours before to reserve at 1-877-906-3539. LogistiCare (LGTC) manages non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for medicaid members. You can receive a ride to a medicaid-enrolled medical practitioner/provider. Call the Medicaid Member Reservation line at 1-855-330-9131 or go to https://member.logisticare.com to request a ride.

Acute Stabilization Unit The ASU, as we call it, provides short term, residential services for the person who is having a mental health and/or substance abuse emergency, but who does not need hospitalization. Referrals are made through our Emergency Services Team, hospitals and other sources. Intensive Outpatient Program Successful independence is the goal of our recovery-focused Intensive Outpatient Program for those with co-occurring disorders. Youâll get care and guidance from our skilled counselors in a safe, supportive setting. Opioid Treatment Center of Excellence We believe that treatment works. Meet with a Peer Specialist who will walk you through the steps to getting help with opioid addiction. Outpatient Counseling Services Counseling is provided in an office-setting for addictions, including problem gambling. DUI Court Ordered Treatment is also available through our Outpatient Counseling program. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Our new Rise to Recovery PHP program helps individuals and family members recover from the negative consequences and life issues associated with substance use and addiction. Residential Substance Use Treatment Treatment and around-the-clock support provides men with the opportunity to focus on their recovery from chemical dependency. Our supportive services can become a part of your safety net after discharge as well. Recovery Housing Sober housing and support services are available who have recently completed a residential treatment program to help them along the road to recovery. Description
Acute Stabilization Unit The ASU, as we call it, provides short term, residential services for the person who is having a mental health and/or substance abuse emergency, but who does not need hospitalization. Referrals are made through our Emergency Services Team, hospitals and other sources. Intensive Outpatient Program Successful independence is the goal of our recovery-focused Intensive Outpatient Program for those with co-occurring disorders. Youâll get care and guidance from our skilled counselors in a safe, supportive setting. Opioid Treatment Center of Excellence We believe that treatment works. Meet with a Peer Specialist who will walk you through the steps to getting help with opioid addiction. Outpatient Counseling Services Counseling is provided in an office-setting for addictions, including problem gambling. DUI Court Ordered Treatment is also available through our Outpatient Counseling program. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Our new Rise to Recovery PHP program helps individuals and family members recover from the negative consequences and life issues associated with substance use and addiction. Residential Substance Use Treatment Treatment and around-the-clock support provides men with the opportunity to focus on their recovery from chemical dependency. Our supportive services can become a part of your safety net after discharge as well. Recovery Housing Sober housing and support services are available who have recently completed a residential treatment program to help them along the road to recovery. Description
Intensive Outpatient Program Successful independence is the goal of our recovery-focused Intensive Outpatient Program for those with co-occurring disorders. Youâll get care and guidance from our skilled counselors in a safe, supportive setting. Treatment for Substance Use Disorder Education, support and resources toward long-term recovery are provided with a holistic approach by licensed addictions specialists in an outpatient setting.

Description
Registered Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site: Staff of Volunteer tax preparers are IRS trained, tested, and certified to help people who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit program receive the tax credits they deserve. THIS IS A FREE SERVICE. You must bring a copy of your previous year's return, all financial statements pertaining to tax year 2020, your social security card, and a picture ID.
