Road Biking

Programs, often offered by local bicycle clubs and/or bicycle shops, that provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate in road rides in different settings at different distances and/or to become competitive as amateurs in road bike racing events. Included are shorter, social paced rides, moderately paced rides and faster, hillier rides for people who want a challenge. There may also be special interest rides and events such as overnight trips, centuries (100-mile rides) and maintenance clinics as well as organized rides and tours. In some cases, rides are followed by BBQs, swim parties or other social events.
