Description:
Currently the only needle exchange program in the state. Functions as a Harm Reduction program including needle exchange, drug treatment referral, free condoms, free clothing, and free HIV testing on-site.
E.N.C.O.R.E.
E - Education on HIV prevention.
N - Needle exchange to reduce the risk of transmitting HIV and other communicable diseases.
C - Counseling on reducing risk, HIV testing, following through on medical care, and substance abuse treatment.
O - Outreach into the community to identify potential clients for the E.N.C.O.RE program.
RE - Referral to agencies and programs by request from the client.

Newport: Fridays from 2:30 - 4:30 PM. (Near MLK Center and Wheatland Blvd.) E.N.C.O.R.E. E - Education on HIV prevention.
