Hours:
Pet Surrender Appointments: Mon-Sun 9:00AM-11:00PM
Intake Process:
Call to make an appointment to surrender a pet.
Program Fees:
$50 fee for all incoming dogs and cats, and a $20 fee for all small animals coming into the Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island.
Eligibility:
All incoming animals must be current with their rabies vaccination.

Can or dry cat and dog food donations for our Community Pet Food Pantry, Cat Litter (non-clumping), Cat and dog treats, Kongs, size M/L (Brand specific because the dogs destroy most other toys and the pieces damage the septic system), Healthy foods to stuff Kongs, like 100% peanut butter, 100% applesauce, and carrots, Healthy foods to make dog popsicles, like beef or chicken stock (low sodium) and canned 100% pumpkin, Easy Walk dog harness (M, L, or XL), Chlorine Bleach, Paper towels, Marrow bones, Dishwasher detergent, Large contractor trash bags (39 gal. or larger), Printer paper, Kitchen garbage bags, Toilet paper, Bathroom cleaner, Hand sanitizer, Dish soap (cruelty-free if possible), Fragrance-free laundry detergent (cruelty-free if possible), Pump hand soap (cruelty-free if possible)
Volunteer Opportunities:
The shelter can use the assistance of foster caregivers to provide a temporary home for animals who are not ready for adoption. The reasons for fostering can vary, from animals that need a little extra help with socialization to a pregnant or nursing mom with her litter to an animal recovering from surgery.
Fostering can be a very rewarding experience. Please contact the shelter first to determine whether foster homes are currently needed.
