Angels On Horseback Therapeutic Riding School, Inc. provides equine assisted therapy to children and adults with mentally and physically challenging conditions. The offer an 10 or 12 week session lesson program.
Angels On Horseback is also the home of Cavalry Heroes. This program provides equine facilitated therapy for Rhode Island military veterans with conditions such as PTSD and other emotional as well as physical, challenges.
The goal is to improve the lives of individuals suffering from a variety of conditions. Experience has shown us, in many instances, that this unique therapy, when used in conjunction with more traditional medical treatments, provides life altering changes.
Horseback riding is a well-established form of therapy for numerous conditions, including autism, learning disabilities, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, blindness, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain and spinal injuries and more. Horseback riding improves the rider's balance, flexibility, strength, and control of head, trunk, arms and legs.
The program provides an environment where humans and animals benefit from each other.

Program Fees:
The program is focused on individual, one-on-one therapy or group lessons.
30 minute lesson: $50 per lesson
Able Body lessons (beginners): $30 per half hour and $50 per hour.
Eligibility:
Children and Adults or RI Veterans with mentally and physically challenging conditions.
