Independent program awarding grants to non-profit organizations in Rhode Island in support of Public Humanities Projects such as lectures, panel discussions, film series, dramatic presentations, exhibits, film productions, television and radio programming. Creates and conducts public humanities programs in the workplace. Offers a speakers bureau (small fee required). Humanities refers to a field of study such as history, literature, language, the law, philosophy, ethics, religion.
Supported by federal funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as well as by individuals, corporations, and foundations
