Four-H Office: Mon-Fri 9:00AM-5:00PM. Varies by club.
Eligibility
Youth 8-18 years old. Must be 18 or older to volunteer.

No national membership fees.
Intake Procedure
Youth: Contact a local club leader to get started in a club. If you would like to be in 4-H but there doesnât seem to be a club close enough to you, you can join as an Independent Member. You will be able to participate in all state and district 4-H events and programs, but you will not go to monthly club meetings. If you are interested in a short term (6 week) project club, contact kstone@uri.edu. Adults: Must complete volunteer application process including training.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are always needed to start groups and clubs! It!s very personally rewarding to know that you contributed to a youths success! Enroll in the 4-H Online system as an adult using the Guide to enrolling in 4H Online as a Volunteer. Sign and Submit the URI Volunteer Signature pages and URI Permission to do a Background Check, and submit a copy of your current completed RI Attorney General!s BCI OR submit the notarized request for a BCI from State Attorney General (it must be notarized and accompanied by a copy of front and back of a state ID). One of the 4-H staff is a notary and you can schedule with her to get the form notarized and the copy of your license made. Complete the short Online Volunteer Training (less than 10 minutes) that demonstrates and provides a time stamped record of your proficient knowledge of major 4-H policies.
