Services: Founded in 1753 as an independent membership library. Providence Athenaeum is America's fourth oldest library and Providence's oldest cultural institution. Programs includes the Friday night Salon series that are free and open to the public. Children!s Library offers an array of free events, story times, and quiet nooks in which to curl up and read.
