Formerly the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island, JAGRI provides community leadership, planning and fundraising; serves as a voice for social justice; supports programs and services that protect vulnerable populations and enhances Jewish life in Rhode Island, in Israel and around the world, and works to create an exciting communal life that engages people in the greater Rhode Island area in Jewish life and learning. Jewish Culture Fest, Adult Classes, Arts and Culture, Advocate for Change, JCS Senior Cafe, Lets Grab Coffee, Volunteer, Alliance Library, The Alliance Library Collects print reference materials and audiovisual resources (DVDs and CDs) appropriate for use in Jewish education and can also recommend additional books, websites, and videos. The collection and recommendations include: Feature films of Jewish interest (including some in Hebrew and or Yiddish), Jewish Music, Documentaries on Jewish subjects. Children's programs Specific instructional strategies, maps, dictionaries, encyclopedias, teaching manuals on various subjects. Inclusion and Special Needs Support- The Alliance can support institutions that seek to make their programs more inclusive of people with disabilities. Israel Travel program- Looking for educational experiences in Israel and abroad? The Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island is your resource for grants, savings programs, and more, especially for ages 14 to 26. The Gift of Israel, which allows families to receive matching funds from the community if they save $150 per year beginning in grades 3 to 6. Stipends for participation in scores of programs, including summer trips, volunteer programs, academic programs, internships and more. Needs-based financial aid for these same programs. New info: Sports and Fitness: At the Dwares JCC, we offer fitness and aquatics classes for every-body, of all ages and ability levels. Fitness Center and Pool Hours- Monday-Thursday 6:00am-8:00pm, Friday 6:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 7:00am-2:00pm, Sunday 7:00am-2:00pm.

We also have a team of dedicated Certified Personal Trainers that are eager to help you achieve all of your health and wellness goals. Personal Training, Pickleball, Fitness options for tweens and teens, including soccer clinics, basketball fundamentals and more, Functional Style Classes including TRX, Kettlebells, Medicine Balls and Battle Ropes, Indoor Heated Pool (10 yards x 25 yards) Swim Lessons and TigerSharks Swim Team, Cardio machines, Free weight area, Fitness classes for seniors focusing on movement, mobility and strength, Indoor Cycling, Boxing, Muscle conditioning, Yoga, Zumba, Mat Pilates, Barre classes and more, online group exercise classes via zoom, seven days a week. Virtual Personal Training- work out with your favorite trainer, from the comfort of home.
