Description:
Located at Chopmist Hill Inn the Scituate Senior Center promotes healthy aging, independence and the well-being of older adults through health, wellness, educational, cultural, and recreational programs and services.
Lunch is served Monday through Friday. Reservations must be called in one week advance to reserve your order. The suggested donation for lunch is $3 for members and $4 for non-member diners. Guests are always welcome.
Fitness classes include Chair Yoga, Zumba, Line Dancing, Bone Builders, and Meditation. All are easily modified for all ability levels.
They provide on site educational presentations, craft sessions (card making, painting and more) shopping trips, haircuts and manicures and musical sessions.
They are open to all Scituate and non-Scituate residents.
Scituate Food Pantry - is located at the Senior Center and is available by appointment by calling 401-647-2768 or 401-228-5979.
Heating Assistance - is also available by calling 401-647-2768 or 401-228-5979.

Description
They have a SHINE volunteer counselor to assist individuals and couples turning 65 or older with information on Medicare and appropriate health insurance programs for their needs and related health insurance matters. They have rotating local attorneys providing complimentary appointments one time per month, resource information for caregiving, and monthly appointments with the Town Nurse to check your blood pressure or assist with other questions. They also offer monthly appointments with providers in Reflexology, Reiki, Footcare and Manicures and Pedicures for a modest cost.

Transportation Coordinator at 781-545-8872. Rides within Scituatte should be scheduled at least 2 days in advance; out-of-town medical rides should be scheduled at least 5 days in advance. For new clients, a brochure should be requested and signed in order to begin to schedule rides with the Senior Center. Meals on Wheels and the Food Pantry. The Scituate Senior Center/Council on Aging provides transportation services to Scituate adults 60+, and those who meet ADA requirements for general rides within Scituate as able, as well as rides to and from Medical appointments in the area, including out-of-town as far as Boston. Scheduled trips to the local markets. Scituate Food Pantry: Please call if you need transportation assistance.

The new GATRA "Go" ON DEMAND Seacoast service replacing the SLOOP schedule is operating Mon-Fri from 7:30am-5:30pm, Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm, Sunday 12:00pm-5:00pm. Rides are $2.00 each. 600 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Scituate, Massachusetts 02066 Mon, Weds and Thurs 8:30-4:45pm. Tuesdays 8:30am-7:30am. Friday 8:30am-11:45pm.
